Located 1km from Alor Star town centre along Lebuhraya Darulaman, the complex built in a traditional Kedah architecture has 4 main buildings housing the State Legislative Assembly building, banquet hall and administrative offices for the State Government of Kedah.

The banquet hall and the Dewan Undangan Hall were equipped with state-of-the-art conference system, computerized lighting system and sophisticated audio-visual and sound system.

Johor State Government New Administrative Centre for the assembly of 114 ADUN of Johor with unique assemblage of functional amenities and centre of activities, all within the proximity of the complex.

The mosque prayer hall can accommodate 10,000 people and another 5,000 people outside the hall. Part of the Mosque is on a man-made lake and constructed with two levels. Upper level is the Main Prayer Hall and Lower Level are the Library, Banquet Hall, Lecture Rooms and Auditorium.

The project involves the design and construction of 10,000 units of teachers quarters located on 107 sites covering 9 states. Each unit has a built up area of 1,000 sq. ft., 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living and dining area. The buildings are low rise point blocks having 4 apartment units per floor and constructed using Precast Technology.

• Phase I consists of multiple level blocks housing the State Museum,Theatrette and State Library.

• Phase II consists of a triangular shaped 29-storey Majlis Perbadanan Shah Alam Tower Block, a 5-storey Conference and Cultural Hall, a Banquet Hall, a 2-storey Council Chamber and a 3-storey Town Hall with a Grand Entrance covered with stepped Bugis Roof.
