History

KTA Tenaga Sdn Bhd was established in January 1993, as a result of an equal merger between two Malaysian engineering consultancy firms viz. Kumarasivam, Tan & Ariffin Sdn Bhd and Tenaga Ewbank Preece (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. It is a wholly Malaysian owned Company with majority bumiputra shareholding.

Kumarasivam, Tan & Ariffin founded in 1965, was primarily involved in civil & structural engineering, environmental engineering and building services.

The practice of Tenaga Ewbank Preece centered around electric power generation, transmission and distribution, environmental, process, mechanical and electrical/instrumentation engineering consultancy in the oil & gas, petrochemical and industrial sectors.

With the combined resources and the resulting synergy, KTA Tenaga is poised to undertakes major engineering projects, both in Malaysia and in the region.

KTA Tenaga Sdn Bhd is a professional engineering body corporate registered with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM) to practise as Consulting Engineers in the Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Structural engineering disciplines and is a Panel Member of the Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia (ACEM).

KTA Tenaga has an authorised and paid-up capital of RM10 million.
