Sabah East Coast Transmission Grid

Client : Sabah Electricity Board

The project consists of 200 km of 275kV overhead transmission line sections connecting the substations at Sime-Darby, Damroad and Kalumpang and 120 km of 132kV overhead transmission line sections connecting the substations at Sandakan, Lahad Datu, Semporna and Tawau in the state of Sabah in East Malaysia.

Services Provided: Conceptual design, route selection, tendering, specifications, project management during execution stage including design review, progress monitoring, witnessing of type tests etc, testing and commissioning.


 

Power Distribution Projects

Distribution projects undertaken by the Company include:

  • Genting Highlands Bhd 11kV distribution development involving a number of switching stations and distributions, 33kV overhead lines and 11kV cable distribution network at between 1000-2000 meters above mean sea level.

  • LLN Central Kedah Valley development involving 200km of 33kV single circuit overhead lines and seven 33/11kV main-intake substations.

  • LLS 33kV Sandakan network - Phase I involving construction of 33kV Batu Sapi Power Station, double circuit 33kV lattice tower line to Mile 4 Substation and Mile 4 33/11kV Substation

  • LLS Tanjung Aru Power Station Augmentation

  • TNB Pulau Langkawi 33/11kV Main Intake substation

  • TNB Ayer Hiyam 33/11kV Main Intake Substation

  • TNB Simpang Empat 33/11kV Main Intake Substation

  • TNB MAS 33/11kV Main Intake Substation

  • The K L  International Airport 33kV, 11kV and 415V Electrical Reticulation involving more than 50 substations and 500km of 33kV & 11kV Cables

Electrical Distribution Infrastructure Projects

KTA Tenaga was appointed to carry out the planning of electrical and telephone infrastructure services for the following projects:

  • 33kV supply to Selayang Jaya Housing Scheme in Selayang, Selangor for Selayang Jaya Sdn Bhd

  • HT electrical power intake and HT electrical reticulation within the Langkawi Resort Complex on Langkawi Island for Promet Consultancy Sdn Bhd

  • Electric and telephone infrastructure planning for the 1450 acres Kepong Estate (Township Development) Selangor for Multi-Purpose Bersatu Development

  • Electric and telephone infrastructure planning for the 45 acres residential and industrial development, Petaling District, Selangor for Tasisas Sdn Bhd

  • Preliminary study of electricity, telephone, street lighting and water requirements for the proposed Mukim Kapar Industrial Park, Kapar, Selangor

  • Master plan study for electricity, telephone and lighting services for the proposed Pulau Lumut Development for Central Spectrum Sdn Bhd

  • Kelana Jaya Township Development for Mastri Padu Sdn Bhd

  • Infrastructure master planning for Danau Kota Development at Setapak, Kuala Lumpur

  • Coastal Village, Environmental Improvement Project for Ministry of Rural Development

  • Preliminary planning of electricity, telephone, street lighting requirements for the proposed Johor Tenggara Industrial Estate, Johor

  • Infrastructure master plan for electricity, telephone, water, drainage and sewerage requirements for the proposed Karambunai Gold Resort in Sabah

  • Infrastructure planning for Office Park Development, Subang for Peremba Development Sdn Bhd

  • Electrical system for the utilities infrastructure of new Township development of Sungei Buloh in Kuala Lumpur. The township is located on a 640 acres site and the power distribution required 14 substations and 33kV cable networks.

  • New Township of Permas Jaya which is located on 1,440 acres near the hinterland of Pasir Gudang New Port in Johore. For power distribution 9 substations were built and power is distributed though 33kV cable networks.

  • Recreational, Industrial and Housing Development at Serendah. The power distribution for this development required electricity distribution via 10 substations and 33kV cable networks.

  • Industrial and Housing Development in Mukim of Damansara for Sime UEP. In this development, the power is distributed via 12 substations and 33kV cable networks.
