Paka 900MW Combined Cycle Power Station, Malaysia

| The largest combined cycle plant in South East Asia, Paka 900MW power station comprises three 300MW combined cycle blocks with two 100MW (115MW ISO) gas turbine generators, two waste heat boilers and one 100MV condensing steam turbine generator. These blocks are connected to two outdoor substations at 275kV and 132kV, incorporating 180MVA 275/132/33kV interbus transformers and 33kV reactive compensation equipment. The power station also incorporates a comprehensive microprocessor-based automatic control system, while a computer-based data acquisition system monitors plant and control system performance.
Additional facilities include auxiliary electrical systems at 11kV and 415V, a black start diesel generator, 5km fuel oil pipeline and on-site fuel storage, gas receiving facilities, submarine cooling water intake and outfall pipelines, onshore pumping and screening plant, electro chlorination equipment, workshops, laboratories, fire protection and telecommunication facilities.

The Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Power Station is Malaysia's first dual oil/gas-fired steam power station and Phase 1,2 and 3 of the proposed 2,400MW PS comprises:

The project comprises 4 units of 110MW gas turbine generators operating in open cycle mode and an Interconnection Facility. The design allows for further conversion to combined cycle plant. The gas turbines are run on fuel gas with distillate as back-up fuel. The power is delivered through the Interconnection Facility comprising a 275kV switchyard and high voltage transmission line looping in and out of the TNB system.

720MW Panglima CCGT Plant, Telok Gong, Melaka

This is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) project of the 2-2-1canfiguration using the advanced class gas turbines viz V94.3A2 gas turbines. In the CCGT mode the block has a net power output of approximately 720MW and is the first of its kind in Malaysia. The two open cycle gas turbines achieved commercial operations in 14 & 15 months respectively and the CCGT block achieved commercial operations in 27 months.

| The 808MW Combined Cycle Paka Power Station comprises two combined cycle blocks each consisting of two gas turbine generators (137MW each), two waste heat recovery boilers and one steam turbine generator (130MW). The development included a 275kV interconnection to the grid and all maintenance and administration facilities.
