The project is an integrated and expansion of the earlier completed 100,000bpd sweet crude oil PSR-1 refinery located in Sungai Udang, Malacca.  The PSR-2 refinery production capacity of 100,000bpd.  The process unit comprises of crude/vacuum distillation, delayed colour unit and other units processes sour crude oil from Malaysia and other countries to produce LPG, petrochemical naphtha, motor gasoline, kerosene, diesel, fuel oil, sulphur, asphalt and petroleum coke.

The depot comprises storage tanks, an administration building, a warehouse, truck and drum filling stations, and a jetty for receipt and distribution of products via ships or barges. Distribution of finished products are via road tankers, river vessels and filled drums.

The project constituted mainly the installation of a regenerative reforming process plant, with all the necessary plant equipment, piping works, electrics, control and instrumentation, erection of the process (reformer) plant, tie-in works to existing Refinery installation for on-site and off-site connections, additional tanks and sub-stations, revamp works on the existing C & I and electrical control systems and new satellite control house for the reformer plant.
